International Students Guidelines

  1. Prospective applicants whose final High School grades are in percentage and average systems, e.g. Sudan, DRC, Rwanda, Pakistan, and Burundi, should have their grades first equated or standardized by Uganda National Examination Board or National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) before they can be admitted to EQUSaT. Students are encouraged to liaise with the International Students office for assistance in the verification exercise of the documents.
  2. The University provides campus accommodation to international students.
  3. The University supports, informs and advises the students on matters that affect their study and life at campus.
  4. The Dean of Students and the International students’ office advise and guide on various matters (social, academic or financial).
  5. These two offices assist and advise on immigration matters as well.
  6. Students are empowered to understand the general culture of the University and its people as an assimilation/acculturation strategy.
  7. Students are encouraged to always seek advice/guidance from the Dean of Students, report any form of social challenges to him/her and seek academic advice from academic advisors and course instructors.
  8. Every international student must have a valid passport; with at least two years to it expiry date, student pass, travel document at all times.
  9. Students are advised to always move along with their university identity cards and photocopies of the student’ permit from time to time in and outside university premises.
