ICT Service Department

Equator University of Science and Technology has integrated information and communication technology (ICT) in all its functions as one of the critical elements of its strategic plan. 

In recognition of the global need for ICT services, and to contain escalating costs that would result from multiple hiring of such expertise, ICT Services Department was set up as a central service Department to provide expert services and guidance to all academic and administrative units of the University.

The department is mandated to champion the implementation of e-Learning platforms, implementation of a stable and reliable network, provision of technical support to all ICT users with in the university, implementation and maintenance of video conferencing systems, provision of security to all ICT Services, ICT Policy implementation, ICT planning, design, procurement, installation and maintenance guidance and support to all user units. This applies to both software and hardware.

General Computing Services

The department offers the following services to students and staff of EQUSaT;

  • Internet services through established hotspots /WiFi.
  • E-ticketing system for all users to login complaints and receive support from our online IT Support desk.
  • The University has implemented an Intranet to support both students and staff while on campus.
  • The university provides free corporate e-mails for both the staff and students
  • Digital Library and other online resources are available for authorized users as a way of promoting research and innovations.
