EQUSaT is a private-not-for- profit Higher Education institution (HEI), offering a wide range of academic programmes accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) and other appropriate professional and regulatory bodies in Uganda and the region at large.
All processes and functions of EQUSaT are operationalized with efficiency and effectiveness to satisfy all stakeholders and ensuring delivery of quality higher education through teaching, learning, research, innovation collaborations and community engagement. The University offers unique study environment and work opportunities for the population of Uganda and elsewhere in the East African Region and beyond.
The first Campus of EQUSaT is located along Kasijjagirwa Road, Kasijjagirwa Cell, Masaka City, near Masaka Regional Referral Hospital. The University has a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Ministry of Health to establish a state-of-the-Art Ultra-Modern Diagnostic Centre as part of the expansion of the health services delivery by the hospital. EQUSaT has partnered with the University of Lahore (UOL), Pakistan to implement the project. The Diagnostic Center will serve both health service delivery and for training purposes.
The state-of-the-art technologies and systems coupled with efficient and effective governance and administrative approaches, make EQUSaT stand out as a unique University in Uganda and beyond. EQUSaT prioritizes Science, Technology and Innovations to drive its strategic plan. Critical Humanities, Social Sciences and liberal arts will also be introduced later as the University develops.
EQUSaT, has in addition, acquired land at Bajja in Lukaya Town Council, Kalungu District for setting up its main campus and other campus facilities such as offices, staff and student accommodation, student centers, sports and recreation facilities among others. The land is over 100 acres and is titled in the names of Equator University of Science and Technology
