Welcome to the Faculty of Health Sciences at Equator University of Science and Technology ( EQUSaT). This is one of the Universities offering the programmes of Medicine and Dentistry and comes in to contribute to increasing the health care workforce with competencies desirable to offer service in the setting.

The professional environment at EQUSaT will provide evidence based knowledge, skills and attitude towards colleagues and the community at large. The training will lay emphasis on educating students according to our own social, cultural and religious norms. Evidence based and current practice together with problem based methods of learning will be employed.

There is vertical and horizontal integration of courses within a curriculum where regular re-visiting of biomedical sciences and clinical practice are carried out over the course of the training programme. All effort will be put in place to enable teaching and learning strategies that bring students in line with international standards to address the challenges of the setting while preparing for ones of tomorrow. It is intended to train and groom a product that will be clinically competent, with the expected morals and ethical conduct of sound doctors.
