Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) officially ushered in a new era of student leadership with the swearing-in of H.E. Ssengendo Sharif Senoga as the institution’s 4th Guild President. The handover ceremony, held last recently, marked a seamless transition of power as the outgoing leadership passed the mantle to the newly elected cabinet.
The event, attended by university officials, students, and stakeholders, celebrated the democratic process that brought Ssengendo and his team into office. In his inaugural speech, the new Guild President pledged to lead with vision and dedication, promising to advocate for students' welfare, foster innovation, and strengthen collaboration between the student body and the university administration.
“I am honored to serve as the 4th Guild President of EQUSaT. Together with my cabinet, we are committed to building a more inclusive and dynamic university experience for all students,” Ssengendo remarked.
The ceremony also saw the official handover of responsibilities by the outgoing guild leadership, who reflected on their achievements and encouraged the new team to build on their legacy. University officials praised the peaceful transition, emphasizing the importance of student leadership in shaping the institution’s future.
With a fresh cabinet in place, Ssengendo’s administration is expected to focus on key student concerns, including academic support, extracurricular development, and student welfare programs. The EQUSaT community has extended its best wishes to the new leadership, anticipating a progressive tenure.
Congratulations once again to H.E. Ssengendo Sharif Senoga and his entire cabinet!
