Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) continues to soar in the academic and innovation landscape, emerging as the second runners-up in the Provisionally Licensed Institutions category at the just-concluded National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) Exhibition held at Kamukuzi Grounds, Mbarara City, last week.
This prestigious recognition underscores EQUSaT’s rising prominence in Uganda’s higher education sector, as well as its unrelenting commitment to innovation, research, and community-focused academic delivery.
The exhibition, which brought together institutions from across the country, served as a platform to showcase transformative ideas and cutting-edge projects shaping the future of education in Uganda.
EQUSaT's stall captivated visitors and evaluators alike with a wide array of groundbreaking projects, including the EQUSaT Smart Bin, EQUSaT Face Tap, and more.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Muhamad Mpezamihigo, the team lead at the Exhibition, praised the university community for the support towards the institution and promised that EQUSaT would continue to make innovative projects to changed the world on a better way.
"This award reflects the spirit of innovation that defines EQUSaT. We are proud of our students and staff who continue to turn ideas into impactful projects that address real-world challenges," Prof. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo said.
