Equator University of Science and Technology has today commenced the distribution of official letters to various Local Governments, informing them about the University’s recently launched bursary opportunities for eligible students.
The bursaries are available to students pursuing the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and Public Health programmes. The initiative is aimed at expanding access to higher education while supporting students who may otherwise face financial barriers to university education.
As part of the initiative, Equator University is engaging Local Governments to help identify, mobilise, and encourage eligible students within their respective districts to take advantage of the bursary opportunities and pursue their studies at the University.
The distribution exercise marks Day One of a two-day outreach programme targeting Local Governments across the selected areas. Through this engagement, the University seeks to strengthen collaboration with local authorities and ensure that information about the available bursaries reaches students who stand to benefit from the initiative.
The bursary programme reflects Equator University’s commitment to enabling human capacity by creating opportunities for more students to access quality university education and acquire knowledge and skills relevant to Uganda’s development needs.
The distribution exercise is expected to continue tomorrow as the University completes engagement with the targeted Local Governments.
