Empowering Future Pathways: EQUSaT Engages Students at Timothy Girls Secondary School

As part of its commitment to community engagement and outreach, Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) conducted a marketing and career guidance session at Timothy Girls Secondary School, creating an opportunity for students to gain practical insights into career choices, academic planning, and personal development.

The engagement focused on helping students make informed decisions about their educational and professional futures. Students were encouraged to carefully consider their interests, abilities, and aspirations when choosing career paths, while also recognising the importance of setting academic goals and remaining committed to their studies.

A key message throughout the session was the importance of resilience. Students were reminded that building a successful career requires determination, adaptability, and the ability to overcome challenges along the way. The guidance session therefore went beyond academic choices, encouraging students to develop the confidence and mindset needed to navigate their future careers.

The EQUSaT team also introduced students to the range of academic programmes offered by the University, providing them with information to help them explore opportunities for further education. Students were encouraged to remain engaged with the University for continued guidance, career-related information, and admission opportunities as they progress through their academic journey.

The outreach reflects EQUSaT’s broader commitment to Enabling Human Capacity by connecting with communities, inspiring young people, and supporting students as they prepare for higher education and the world of work.

Through initiatives such as this, EQUSaT continues to strengthen its relationship with schools and communities while creating meaningful platforms for young people to access knowledge, guidance, and opportunities that can shape their futures.
