Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) has officially sworn in Nakayenga Percy as the 5th Guild President since the university’s founding.
The ceremony, held at the University Main Hall, brought together students, faculty, and staff, highlighting the vital role of student leadership in shaping campus life.
Percy pledged to serve with integrity, inclusivity, and dedication.
“I stand here not just as your president, but as a fellow student committed to serving each one of you,” she said.
Alongside her, 14 student representatives were also sworn in, reflecting a diverse and inclusive leadership structure:
Othieno Newton, Nakawombe Bridget, Kiyingi John Paul, Kautharah Ahmed Anguyo, Nsumba Isaac, Amoding Mercy, Nabulya Nuliat Kavuma, Namanda Christine, Jjuko Ismael, Adupa Rahma Ali, Abubakar Salisu Gazara, Aliyu Mariam Omatayo, Wavamunno Erisa, and Zalwango Victoria.
The Dean of Students emphasized that student leadership remains central to EQUSaT’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and community.
This swearing-in marks a new chapter of service, representation, and student empowerment at EQUSaT.
